Newbury Tips & Analysis [Saturday 22nd July]

Safe to say there’s no shortage of racing taking place this weekend 🤯

Probably a bit of quantity over quality in all honesty but that’s not to say we can’t still get stuck in and try and find some profitable angles and plays…

Which is exactly what Tony Mac and myself have done in the latest episode of ‘The Racing PodBlast‘… where this weekend we attack the Saturday card from NEWBURY, with the following three races coming under PodBlast analysis…

â• 1:50 Newbury – Listed Steventon Stakes

â• 2:25 Newbury – Class 2 Mettal UK Handicap

â• 3:00 Newbury – Group 3 Hackwood Stakes

You can listen to that analysis here on the NTF Blog below or you can head to the main Racing PodBlast page and listen on whatever Podcast directory you usually use…

I’ll be taking a small deviation to the jumping action for NTF Members this weekend, covering the Summer Plate from Market Racing…

Can the Bowen’s win the race AGAIN?!?

They’ve won it seven times since 2003, with overall stats in the race since then of 7/38, 8p | +£20.50…

You can trim those overall stats as all seven of the Bowen winners met the following…

Aged 6yo-10yo | 18+ career starts | won or placed on 1 of their last 2 starts | DSLR <57

…for overall race stats of…

7/24 | 29% S/R | +£34.50 – W&P 13/24 | 54% S/R

Both of their runners this year – FRANCKY DU BERLAIS & COURTLAND – meet with those stats…

That is, however, only a small part of the Summer Plate puzzle…

It’s also worth noting the following…

All of the last 15 winners of the Summer Plate

WON 1 of their last 5 starts

Had previously won at least at Class 3 level but NOT above Grade 3 level

Were running off a break of 16-70 days

To get full analysis of the race (plus access to the NTF Members Area until the end of the Summer Season) then take advantage of the latest sign-up offer and join the full NTF Members service HERE>>>

You’ll get a Badly Drawn Horse to follow from last weekend’s John Smith Cup in that post…

Enjoy your weekend, whatever you may be up to…

p.s. I’ve been writing a few articles for the guys at On Course Profits recently… they offer up a free monthly magazine, packed with many pages (the next one will be around 50+ pages!) of research, angles and systems to help you find more winners and profitable plays…
