2yo Novice Analysis: Yarmouth 24-05-23

Lightly raced (and often UNRACED!) 2yo’s are some of the trickiest types to get a solid handle on, especially from an analysis and betting viewpoint…

And 2yo races are really not my area of expertise… at all… not even close!!

But thankfully I know a man who’s area of expertise absolutely IS 2yo’s races… that man being, of course, Ahead In The Sand maestro Dave Punshon (or All-Weather Davy – AWD – as he is often called 😆)…

Why, however, has Dave (a deeply experienced All-Weather punter) decided to concentrate his focus in the last few years to 2yo Novice and Maiden races?

I’ll let Dave explain…

“I was asked by a number of people recently why I’ve mainly been concentrating on Novice/Maiden Races and the answer is quite simple… today’s bookmakers simply don’t have a CLUE how to price these races up and rely solely on exchange movements, which are basically non-existent until the last couple of minutes pre-race… I’m extremely confident I put in significantly more work pre-race in these types of races than the majority (including the bookmakers!!) and that in turn gives me my edge…”

Doors to the summer run of Ahead In The Sand (which will actually be concentrating mainly on turf races, with only a sprinkling of AW analysis) opened last week and Dave will be providing access to his in depth and detailed 2yo analysis over the next 4-months, analysis that will include all the major 2yo contests set to be run at the likes of Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood, York’s Ebor meeting… and so on…

Cheers – Ben and AWD

NOTE: The analysis Dave produces on AITS Summer 2yo’s will not clash with anything I do on the summer run of NTF (doors open soon), I’ve never really covered many 2yo races on the the summer service (1 or 2 a season at the very most!!) so there will be no crossover… they are very much two different services… 👍
