Weekend Handicap Sleeper Notes: 15th, 16th & 17th August
A short and sharp ‘Weekend Handicap Sleeper Notes‘ this week as I need to get stuck into the York Ebor Festival analysis for full NTF Members…
So let’s crack on with things…
Weekly Handicap Sleeper Notes 15th, 16th & 17th August
📆 Friday 15th August
⭕ 6:25 Newmarket – 1m Class 5 Handicap
🏇 7th – BELLA BISBEE
I was surprised this filly started as short as 9/2 as a straight track has never really been what she wants, this effort taking her form on a straight track to 0/9, 1p… she’s handicapped to be winning at present… running here off OR 70, 1lb below her last and highest winning mark of OR 71… and as she’s now in her prime months (all wins have come in August or later and she’s 0/10, 1p in July or earlier) she’s worth looking out for under her PC of… OR 71 | C5 | LH | Aug-Dec = 1112 (3/4, 2p – all 3 career wins)…

📆 Saturday 16th August
⭕ 2:25 Newbury – 5f Class 3 Handicap
🏇 3rd – ROACH POWER
This 6yo has been holding his form well since entering his prime months of July to October and this effort deserves a small upgrade on the bare form… he was drawn in stall 2 here (far side) and chased the leaders in the early stages, whilst the two that finished ahead of him were drawn in 7 & 10 (near side) and raced in rear in the early stages, the race setting up nicely for that pair ridden out the back with a bit more restraint… Roach Power is still on a winnable mark just now, running here off OR 69, 6lbs below his highest winning mark, and he’s worth looking out for under the following… OR 79 or less | 5f-7f | July-Sept = 5/17, 5p – all 5 career wins…

📆 Sunday 17th August
⭕ 4:12 Pontefract – 5f Class 3 Handicap
🏇 5th – WEN MOON
I’ve never been overly convinced that Good to Firm ground is what this 5yo wants and this run took his form on the ground to 0/5, 1p, the placed effort coming on racecourse debut when he finished a 3.8L 2nd… he’s extremely well-handicapped at present off his mark of OR 71, 13lbs below his last and highest winning mark… and he’s worth keeping on the radar for when the ground starts to ease up again… I have PC for him as… C3 or less | OR 84 or less | tracks with undulations | NO Headgear | Good or softer | carrying 9-07 or less = 331211 (3/6, 3p – all 3 career wins)…

The Weekly Handicap Sleeper Notes posted here on the free NTF blog form a huge portion of my own private notes, notes that I dig into daily over the spring, summer and autumn months…
They also form the basis for identifying ‘Prime Condition‘ and ‘Handicap Sleeper‘ horses for the NTF Stats Sheets that full NTF Members gain exclusive access to…
The horses covered in these free posts are highlighted to full NTF Members, via the NTF Stats Sheets, to ensure they don’t miss any of them when they appear on the racetrack and meet with their Prime racing Conditions…
You can, of course, add them to your own tracker tool… something I would definitely advise that you do… and if you don’t yet use a tracker tool then I recommend you give one of the following two sites a spin…

⚽ The best Scottish Football Service around…
Great to hear plenty of you jumped on the Kilmarnock bet I stuck up on the blog last week…
Wasn’t my bet of course… I snaffled it from Greg Browning… an expert on all things Scottish Football betting…
Wasn’t the only return Greg produced over the weekend… the following one particularly caught my eye… from the Norwegian THIRD division!!
…that was an find and a half by Greg!! 👏👌
And wasn’t a random find either… he has connections in Norway so he’s always getting info… team news… injury updates… travel problem details…
Keeps him more than a few steps ahead of the bookies…
You can find out more about Greg’s service here>>>
